The Growing Southern Gippsland Project recently asked our 12 case study landowners a series of questions around water security and water management and how it is impacting their farming enterprises.
This video summaries these conversations perfectly and tells a real story on how climate change is influencing the way farmers make decisions around water security and water management. The Bass Coast Landcare Network is privileged to work with project partners RMIT University, Federation University Australia, Bass Coast Shire Council and the South Gippsland Landcare Network Growing Southern Gippsland is funded through the Victorian Centre for Climate Change Innovation, DELWP Gippsland You are invited to come along to the property of Neils and Marja Olsen, on the 1st of November. Neils is the inventor of the Soilkee Renovator, a machine combining cultivation, mulching, aeration, and seeding into a one pass approach in the paddock, which improves grazing systems and builds soil carbon. Neils and Marja Olsen were also the first farmers to be issued with soil carbon credits under the Australian Governments Emissions Reduction fund.
